京氏易傳 : ䷍大有
Dayou: The hexagram returning to its original palace is called "Dayou," the inner image showing Qian as the native position, pure metal in command, and it corresponds with Kun for hidden and manifest trigrams. The Three Dukes preside over this world, corresponding to Shangjiu as ancestral temple. From Jian Wu Yin to Gai Wei, the accumulated calculation begins from Gai Wei Tu (earth) to Ren Wu Huo (fire), cycling and repeating endlessly. The Five Planets begin from the position of Taiyin, and Zhen Su descends from Jia Chen. The images of metal and earth divide into thirty-six periods, corresponding to the rising and falling of Yin and Yang. Six positions interact dynamically, returning and repeating their course; the auspiciousness or inauspiciousness measured by degrees is the same as that of the Qian hexagram. Dividing the sixth and fifth lines as Yin and softness represents the sun shining upon all directions, symbolizing the vigorous movement of Heaven. The younger becomes the model for the many, and the sixth line at position five holds supreme status. The Yijing says: "Fire above Heaven is Dayou." Yin and Yang intermingle, and all things communicate. Yin withdraws and Yang is subdued; this is returning to the root. The Qian hexagram, with its divided images of dynamic interaction among the Eight Trigrams, concludes in Dayou. Qian generates three sons, who subsequently enter the eight trigrams of Zhen's palace.
